What is Crazy Horse leather, and does it come from horses?

No. Crazy Horse is a full grain cowhide, named for its traditional use in horse saddles and tack, which is why it is also called saddle leather. Wax and oils are worked into the top layer of the hide. Press or scratch the surface and the color shifts lighter, then settles back. On a keychain that matters: a year on a keyring marks anything, and on Crazy Horse those marks read as age, not damage.

Brass or silver-tone hardware

Brass reads warmer and traditional, and does not rust. Silver-tone is neutral and sits well with any color. Choose your hardware in the options above.

  • Avoid soaking in water and prolonged direct sunlight
  • The leather darkens and develops a patina with use. Marks add character
