Laser engraving cuts into the leather rather than printing on it, so it does not peel, scratch off or fade. The text is still readable in ten years, darker than the leather around it.

What Is Crazy Horse Leather — and Does It Come from Horses?
It does not come from horses. Crazy Horse is a full grain cowhide, named for its traditional use in horse saddles and tack — which is why it is also called saddle leather.
Wax and oils are worked into the top layer of the hide rather than coating it. Press or scratch the surface and the colour shifts lighter, then settles back. On a keychain that matters: a year on a keyring marks anything, and on Crazy Horse those marks read as age rather than damage.
Choosing a Colour
- Black — the understated choice, goes with anything
- Cognac brown — warmest, and shows the patina most
- Blue, green or burgundy — for someone who would not pick black
- Yellow — easy to spot at the bottom of a bag, and easy for a finder to notice
What It Fits
The keychain folds over a standard split ring, which takes car keys, house keys, office fobs and padlock keys without modification. It also clips to a lanyard, a bag loop or a belt loop.

How to Care for Crazy Horse Leather
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid soaking in water and prolonged direct heat. No conditioning needed — the wax treatment is already in the leather.
Scuffs even out: rub the area gently and the wax redistributes. The whole piece darkens with handling, which is the material working as intended.
