Why burgundy

Most men own a black belt and a brown one, and reach for whichever matches the shoes. Burgundy breaks that pattern — it bridges both, and it is the detail that gets noticed without trying.

It also ages better than either. Dark dyes on full grain deepen rather than fade, so a burgundy belt gains depth where a black one just gets scuffed.

The distressed buckle

A distressed silver finish is antiqued rather than polished — the surface is worked so it reads as something that has been used, not something fresh from a factory. Against burgundy leather the effect is deliberately rustic.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Apply a neutral leather conditioner two or three times a year — avoid coloured products, which can shift the burgundy tone. Keep away from prolonged direct sun.
