What "reinforced" actually means
Standard leather braces are a single layer. Under the weight of trousers, a single strap gradually stretches at the adjustment holes and at the shoulder, where most of the load sits. Two bonded layers resist that — the strap holds its line, and the holes keep their shape.
Each adjustment hole is cut with a small slit, so the stud passes through without forcing the leather open. One customer noticed this detail before he had even worn them: it is the kind of thing that only shows up after a year of use on braces that do not have it.

Trigger snaps
Trigger snaps clip to belt loops or a leather tab rather than pinching the waistband. They hold more securely than spring clips under the weight of heavy trousers, and they do not mark the fabric.
Crazy Horse leather
Crazy Horse is a full grain cowhide traditionally used for horse saddles, which is why it is also called saddle leather. It develops a vintage patina with wear. Natural marks and grain variation are characteristics of the material, not defects — no two pairs are identical.
Free personalization
Engraving is included at no cost: initials, a name, a date or a logo. Add your text in the personalization field at checkout, or send us a logo file. We can also engrave a gift message on a separate piece of leather to include with the order.
Care
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Apply leather conditioner two or three times a year. Store hanging or flat rather than folded at the straps.
