The tobacco joke is the traditional form of a rolling pouch: a fold of leather that holds tobacco and papers without zippers, snaps or lining. Nothing mechanical, nothing to break.
Made from Crazy Horse leather — wax-treated full grain cowhide. Despite the name, it does not come from horses. The name comes from the leather's traditional use in horse saddles, which is also why it is sometimes called saddle leather. It is chosen here for the same reason saddlers choose it: it takes daily handling and only looks better for it.
Each pouch is handmade, so surface marks and natural grain variation are normal characteristics of the material, not defects. No two pieces are identical in tone or texture.
