Embossed, not exotic
The crocodile pattern is pressed into genuine cowhide — it is not crocodile skin. That matters for two reasons: no exotic leather, and no exotic price. You get the texture without either.
Because the pattern is part of the hide rather than a surface coating, it does not rub off at the fold points the way printed finishes do within a year.
Why dark brown
Dark brown works where black is too severe and tan too casual. It pairs with brown and tan shoes, denim of any wash, navy and olive. It also ages visibly — lightening at the fold where the buckle sits, so the belt records how it was worn.
The rounded buckle
A rounded silver buckle softens the line at the waist where a square one squares it off. Against textured leather that balance works: the strap does the talking, the hardware stays classic.
Why full grain
Full grain is the outer layer of the hide with the grain intact. Corrected and bonded leather is sanded and coated, which is why it cracks at the fold within two years. Full grain darkens and softens instead, keeping both its shape and the embossed texture.

Care
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Apply leather conditioner two or three times a year, working it gently into the embossed texture so the recesses do not dry out. Avoid soaking in water.
