What Is Crazy Horse Leather — and Does It Come from Horses?

It does not come from horses. Crazy Horse is a full grain cowhide, named for its traditional use in horse saddles and tack — which is why it is also called saddle leather. The hide is cow; the name describes what it was historically made into.

What makes it Crazy Horse is the finish. Wax and oils are worked into the top layer of the hide rather than coating it. Press or scratch the surface and the colour shifts lighter, then settles back. On a desk mat that matters: every mug ring, pen mark and keyboard scuff blends into the finish instead of standing out as damage.

How to Care for a Crazy Horse Leather Desk Mat

Wipe clean with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking in water, prolonged direct sunlight, open flame and excessive heat.

Scuffs and lighter patches are normal: rub the area gently with a finger and the wax redistributes. The whole mat darkens and evens out over months of use, which is the material working as intended.

Please send an email to fashionracing.com@gmail.com Let us know in your email, what product you want to return / exchange and the reason why you want to do that. Please enclose your telephone number and order number.
We will contact you within 1 – 2 working days and send you all the required information needed to return the package or options of how we can exchange your product.
We will not reimburse or exchange products until we receive the package. After receiving the package we will do our best to process it as quickly as possible.
*Personalized/engraved products can’t be returned, exchanged or cancelled. Returning an order due to these additional duties will not be considered a valid reason.
